That is true about the scripted nature of the game. The could easily add something like that, that requires you to react to the situation, rather than just following the script. The challenge, is with content like this, you are essentially partying with AI controlled player characters, so they can't tell you things like "I got slowed" or "<insert buff here>" was just used, etc. You would have to be watching the NPCs in your group to get a really good idea of what they were doing to be able to properly react. After the system were released, it seems like a more dynamic version of the existing fights, or even a new complete set with totally dynamic content would be very useful. I think it would be fun to scale the content for additional loot chances. If you can fight the battle with negative echo of 10%, and you still survive, you get a shot at some really cool gear, or something interesting like that. I like the concept of Savage Coil and things like that, but they need to come with rewards that match their difficulty. I'm surprised at how many people have completed them, and all for a title.
