Getting GC Reward Items

Today, I was to receive an reward for obtaining 500,000 seals with the Maelstrom and for a reward, I am to get a shield. But when and where do I get it? Is it supposed to be immediate or do I have to get it sent by Moogle Mail? Or is it obtained another way?

Head over to Old Gridania near Apkallu Falls (10-6) and talk to Jonathas (here) and share your tale of slave work for the Maelstrom - you'll get rewards for this and a number of other achievements I suspect, supposing you haven't talked to him before.

Usually, if unlocking an achievement gains you an item as a reward, you have to speak to Jonathas, a npc standing at Apkulla Falls in Gridania, and offer to "tell him a story" when he asks. You'll then receive the item reward for any achievements you gained that have them.
