I have to say there has been a lot of nice people giving long responses and offering help. Great on the community.

It sucks that when I look at this all I can think is this is a huge troll looking for attention. Just doing class quests gives you gear and needed skills which seem to be being avoided for no reason here.
A Tank in a dungeon also has nobody to role against them on tank gear if leveling in dungeons. Grand Companies give gear for seals if leveling in Fates. So on So forth...

In my opinion just a guy seeing how far he can get on the backs of other people trying hard to be kind and get things done and using a post that looks genuine to get attention.

Maybe I am wrong but to me this is shameful preying on a kind community.
I think it is unfair to the people that did those dungeon being forced to carry so hard and it seems very selfish.

It is 1 thing to be patient with somebody who is clearly trying and an other with somebody who doesn't care.

In my opinion

I promise you that it was never my intention to make people carry me through a dungeon. Every dungeon before Qarn I have been capable of easily clearing. Haukke Manor was difficult for me the first few times. Now I know where all the keys are, and we usually get through quickly without a single KO. I hold enmity well there and often receive commendations.

I decided to try Qarn because it was listed as level 35, and I had item level 38 sword, shield and top piece. Unfortunately, this proved far more difficult than I expected, and unlocked it into my low-level duty roulette. I got dropped back in on my very next DR.

Fortunately, it looks like it will only take a few more quests or so to fix the gear problem. I honestly appreciate everyone's advice.

I apologize to those in my parties who rightly expected better gear and a higher skill level. I will do my best to catch up so I will not burden others on my next run.
