First off, don't listen to this guy. Presumption of incomplete skill is obtuse and short-sighted.

Secondly, try one of the Tank classes, especially if you're playing on a console. Targeting is easier with a gamepad, and the position on the team usually garners more respect when well played.

Well I mean come on after Lv.30 and no Cure II where yeah the dungeons aren't extrme and un-do able without it It gets fairly tough with WHM low spell speed at that level popping a Cure II is needed, when Tank is taking high dmg from a bunch of mobs at a fast rate, which Cure can give you but at a slower rate

@Op, don't think i'm being ass or moaning at you but it sounds like developed enough into the game itself, the game can be easy but that depends on you as player to make it easy, if your not updating your gear or unlocking WHM, or doing your WHM Class then it's not the game fault. But don't worry too much as if your new to a MMO, some things may not seem obvious to do.

@Raidoactive, lol yeah and WAR's don't need defiance

The one thing to understand in FFxiv is that the first handful of dungeons are just game tutorial.

learn your class, learn your role in the party, learn the basics of a MMO game (AoE, heavy single target hits, debuffs, buffs, adds, environment interactions, etc...). These are what you get before level 30. You learn how to play an MMO with trinity system.

Then come Brayflox, Qarn, Cuter's cry, Stone Vigil, Dzemael and Aurum Vale. Each of them is not teaching you how to play the game, but how to improve in your role. How to be better at what you do.

They are like an advanced tutorial to prepare for the real game, which starts at level 50. Provided you spent the time to actually learn something in them, you'll already be way above the average player in this game and should have the required basics to beat everything in the game. The way from here is just learning even more advanced stuff on your role and keep improving as a player until you reach the top by doing advanced dungeons (but the overgearing doesn't help people to learn anything from there), extreme trials and raids.

You'd be surprised how bad some people can be at the game, and more often than not the reason is simple : they never did the dungeons and thought they would be able to be good just because they have the best gear available.

    I never claimed they didn't.
You all are assuming he never learned Cure II and then similarly assume he'll not learn similar level skills requisite for each class. I assume nothing. I only propose he may enjoy a different class more.

Rule #1 when you assume you make an ass/u/me.

Furthermore, I would strongly argue that if you're having trouble and complaining about the difficulty of healing low level content, then rolling a tank should probably be the very last thing on your list.

I remember the times when as a fellow healer myself that I was being bashed on for being a terrible healer back then during Titan HM. I learned to filter the difference between bad and good advice. And now I'm better at my job than I was before. =) I think you should give it more time or research your role and fights. It will help alot that you have an idea of what's happening. =) Good luck to whatever decision you make!
