Quick Question About Buying The Game (PS4)

As you can tell from the title I'm a new player. I've been playing the demo for about 3 days now and I'm hooked. I've always had my eye on FF:Realm Reborn but never had a good PC to play it on. Now that I have my PS4 I'm all ready to go. Now my question is, how does going from the free trial to the actual game work? Do they automatically transfer me over or is there a whole bunch of stuff I need to do first? I ask mainly because there's certain content that I can't access since I'm a free trial user, so I don't know if there's certain options I have to go through when I get the actual game.

I'm a free trial user myself and from what i understand is after going through your 14 days free trial, you'll have to purchase the game which comes with a free 30day game time. You can do that through the MogStation on square enix website. After that free 30 days, you will then have to subscribe monthly to the game. The features that were locked before in the free trial will be accessible after you upgrade your free trial account to a regular one.

As for payment options, i'm not sure myself as i'm not a subscriber yet. I already top up funds on my US account though, just waiting to get on the server i want before purchasing the game

PayPal was discontinued months ago, a lot of people complained, and for obvious reasons. SE claims they are working on getting it back. It was administered through a 3rd party. You can subscribe to the game for up to 180 days, or monthly. It works out to be a little cheaper subscribing for the 180 days if you buy Crysta and use that to pay for the subscription, which is also available from SE.

You will unlock veteran awards based on how many days you subscribe for, different mounts, minions and such. If you are definitely going to be playing for a long time, go with the 180 day, if you have the funds, but only payment option is by CC or bank card. Welcome to the party.

Wait... so I have to wait until the trial is over? I can't just upgrade my account and keep playing? I ask mainly because the level cap for trial users is 20. So I have to wait out the 14 days in order to upgrade my account and break the level cap?

You can upgrade at any time. Just go to the mog station and follow the steps it's fast and easy.

Oh nope you don't have to, i was assuming you would use up the free trial. I'm holding back on my purchase, and using the free trial to get into the server that i want which has stayed locked for the past 4 nights now.

Eh... never mind. I guess you don't have to register anything, you just log on and it does it for you evidently. Ha, I feel silly now.

Evidently you don't have to do anything at all. I'd imagine you played the free trial and made an account, yes? If you did all of that all you now have to do is install the game and log into your account and they do it for you. If you go check your account afterwards you'll see that it says you're now a member and that you're on a 30 day free subscription period.

I thought you had to do a bunch of stuff, apparently not which is nice. Just let the game do the first-time setup and you're good to go!
