Bloodletter "nerf"

Bloodletter just tends to be picky. Even on normal monsters it does not like to stick sometimes. It does like to stick when I put out big numbers with it, but it's probably coincidence. I haven't had too many problems landing Bloodletter on Uraeus when I get the extra TP to spend (I'm probably getting lucky,) haven't been able to fight Dodore lately so I can't say anything about him. Haven't fought Buffalo yet since the LS I do NMs with likes to do them on days where I cant attend.

I also invest in red coral arrows, blue coral if reds are unavailable for NMs.

I use Coral Arrows with a Crab bow and full Buc gear. 140 base Dex and 70 Piety. I've heard that influences how often the debuff lands and how long they stick so I put some points in it

I have to agree with the people that say bloodletter is easy to stick on buffalo. On other NMs not so much, Uraeus almost seems immune to the debuff or I'm just not paying that much attention.

Thats so weird that we're getting opposite results. Our archers say that they have a much easier time landing bloodletter on Uraeus than GB. We're finding it easy to land bloodletter on everything but Buffalo. I wonder why we're getting such drastically different results. Is there anything you guys do in specific to land bloodletter? Anything stat-wise? Maybe food or a specific type of arrow?

I usually eat meat kabobs for Nms, only use blue coral arrows and only use bloodletter during a BR.
Once the horn incaps I switch over to barrage for BRs since we have 3-4 archers on most runs.

Maybe there is a minimum amount of upfront dmg required to stick the debuff on? On Uraeus bloodletter is usually 5-600ish and 6-700ish on buffalo

Im pretty sure buffalo is earth affinity so its weak to water so blue coral is best, and blue coral seems to do better than red coral on Uraeus, Dodore, and Mosshorn as well.

Last time we killed GB, I moved some points from VIT to DEX and noticed Bloodletter debuff stuck more often. Maybe there is a modifier we're not aware of?

Before patch I land it on Ura with 80% success, after patch it's probably 10-20%. Crab bow +2, Red coral arrow and 150+ STR/DEX (since respeced for mage) and it's always with some combination of raging strikde 2, ferocity2, cadence, blindside. So it is very noticeable. But I guess it is a well deserved nerf, since Archer damage on NM was just insane compared to other DoW jobs before the patch.

Also, Bloodletter can be used to break buffalo horns without it being on the ground. Just make sure you are on the correct side of the mob to hit the right horn.

I've had no issues landing Bloodletter or its status effect on GLA, LNC, ARC, and THM.

DEX will not affect how your debuffs stick, that is up to PTY.
