I hope dev reduce the CD for Enkindle skill to 120s instead of 300s. 300s is too long for skill that not give a higher damage or the CD still 300s but raise the skill potency to 500+ since its do higher damage. Then please cancel casting time to Bio 2 and Miasma 1 since that the only main dps skill that SMN has and it can distinguish the SMN from BLM in term of gameplay utilities since BLM is already have higher dps & good AOE skill. Besides, dev can remove the raise and psyhick skill since its mostly useless in raid/dungeon coz SMN have no time to use it because SMN usually tend to DPS rather than do healing/raise thing like SCH/WHM do. This 2 slot can be replace by damage buff/skill for SMN.

I also like the idea, that summoning pet will get permanent party buff like summon garuda will get 5% increase int & spell speed/skill speed etc. I also like the rework idea that, if summoning pet like garuda, SMN will get access to wind type spell and this elemental spell can replace with raise and physick spell. Last but not least, I really hope dev will rework the appearances of the egi's. At least create a true primal appearances in size of the player/minion and not the crystallize one. This will make SMN look like a true Final Fantasy summoner.
SE has this class = > job in this system the Summoner is nothing more than a lvl 50 Arcanist while the Scholar changed enough to successfully absorb the Arcanist into it's job. The Summoner should be based around summoning magic with focus on summons and synergy with pets. Summoner's can use both Black and White Magic but those should be it's sub jobs.

Summoner should remain exactly as it is, a dot class with a pet. New roles should be explored via new Egis.



Tri-Disaster - Add extends duration of damage over time effects already cast by 15 seconds. Cast time 2.5 seconds. Recast 60s.
Change Garuda Contagion to Razor Plume - AoE DoTs x 15s
120s counter for Enkindle.
Shiva - Single Target DPS
Dreams of Ice - ATT Buff
Heavenly Strike - 3s attack
Ice Brand - Restore % Egi HP
Hail Storm - DoT
Diamond Dust - % slow
Ramuh - AoE DPS
Roling Thunder - AoE DoT
Shock Strike - 3s AoE attack
Thunder Spark - Ground AoE
Thunderstorm - AoE Blast
Judgement Bolt - Paralysis
Leviathan - Crowd Control
Body Slam - Stun
Tail Whip - 3s hit
Whirlpool - Bind
Spinning Dive - Push Back

I would start with Radiant shield being castable on party members

I don't see dps as being an issue for SMN, but definitely the lack of effective way(s) to gain MP back is really a big flaw.
For 'practical' wish list, I would like to see one of these implemented:
1) Buff the potency of Enery Drain to 300 so that it's basically the same as Fester and no dps loss for using Energy Drain over Fester. However, change the recast time to be longer e.g., 30 or 45 secs, so that it can't completely replace Fester and is only meant to provide SMN a way to get MP back effectively.
or
2) Adjust Energy Drain so that it doesn't require an Aetherflow charge. Similarly, the recast time can be longer like 60 secs max.
or
3) Reduce the amount to MP required to cast DOTs and/or Ruin/Ruin 2
'Dream' wish list would be: party buffs when pets are out similar to FFXI avatar's favors e.g., refresh mp potency of x to all party member when Garuda is out, boost pty's attack when ifrit it out, etc.

Possible fixes would be
change ironworks doublets of casting, dreadwyrm book, dreadwyrm belt for the det/crit based and let odin drop crit/det 130 ilvl ring. Our bis gear have currently 100 too much Spell Speed.
Other classes need use their less useful stats too, but for summoner it is way more worse. And now we wanna compare BLM like as usual. For BLM every single stat det/crit/spell speed works very well so BLM can do good damage even without bis gear. They can just use the gear that have highest ilvl and they do good damage, only need avoid bit too much accuracy.

Another add is to adjust the acc required. Not sure why we always need 20 more than BLM/WHM/SCH since we all are basically magic casters (I know it's for pet), but this further limits our gear choices.
