Having Huton fall off for one GCD is entirely Ideal, 22 seconds is the perfect time to Raiton, at 20 seconds you can Fuma with latency. The GCD reduction only applies on the GCD AFTER Huton falls off and if you are re-casting Huton inbetween that GCD you lose no damage at all. This means that optimally you could use your Ninjutsu at the 16s Huton mark and still not lose even an ounce of DPS, but more than likely 17-18s is far more ideal.

True but he did like 3 GCD's in his video before reapplying. That's why I said lower latency - makes the mudras take less time, so you can get the raiton at 22 seconds easily without losing gcd time.

you still lose autoattack haste from not having huton up; you'll lose some dps from that

You won't lose an auto attack... and you use an extra offensive cast. Literally you gain DPS by only using Huton when you need too.
