But its funny to see how many tanks actually trust dutyfinder healers, on insane pulls.. i would never do that since a lot of DF healers are terrible.
I am so glad I lurk forums and have read a bunch of horror stories/how to speedrun posts.. I feel like duty finder is "speedrun roulette." Very rarely do I see a tank ask if it's okay to run, or even check gear/class composition before charging ahead. Hell, even after the first pull goes terrible (hp almost hits 0, dps aren't/can't aoe, takes forever to clear the mob), they just keep pulling large! I can't imagine how new healers are handling things right now.

I've yet to quit from a dungeon though. Usually I have a dps buddy that watches my back, and I haven't ran into any abusive players towards me.. yet.

    .
FYI cure II is a level 30 spell, you can't use it in Sastasha NM. Doesn't make them less dumb, though.

As I strongly dislike the 30 minute penalty, I've never actually abandoned a duty. At least, i've never been the first one.
However, I have made use of Vote Abandon and Vote Kick rather religiously.
If that fails, I ask to be kicked.

Though there was one case where the last part combined with my predisposition for not wanting the 30 minute penalty bit me in the ass.
One time while doing my MNK relic, I accidentally left Amdapor Keep on my queue and ended up in there instead of the trial i was trying to queue for.
Realizing my mistake, I asked to be kicked. The group continued anyway. I asked again and again, and got rather irate, refusing to actually do anything in the instance so they would kick me. I sat quietly as they ran the entire dungeon, gently suggesting that they'd go faster if they kicked me, until the last boss...where they finally kicked me.
I mean, I know it's unorthodox to ask people to kick you from a dungeon because you misqueued, but jeez.

Just RQ sastasha HM earlier today.
Had a wonderful tank and BLM who were forcing speedruns on the group, insulting the bard that joined us, pulled the entire last room, dropped to 200 HP and then bitched me out because I cured them pulled hate and died.

what i particularly love about situations like this is that you only need a majority of people in the group to kick someone, and the person being voted on doesn't count towards that (for obvious reasons)
In a Full Party, this means 4 people. Which is a lot.
However, in a Light Party, this means 2 people.
So few people really understand this. If two people are harassing you, vote dismiss them!

A few days after 2.4 hits I enter sastasha HM one last time before bed. Get in and the healer and other dps say "first time here". Tank says "Well I hope you learn fast, I don't have time for wipes". I left right away, don't want to deal with that bs.

I don't ragequit dungons ever. honestly idc how long it takes to finish a dungeon as long as it actually gets done.... there have been a few times i've wanted to, of course, and there are those times where everyone else leaves and i have no hope of finishing it, but i've never been the first to go "lolbye" and leave.

Your best bet would have been to say "AFK" then watch and do nothing until you get booted.

The barrier goes down and they just run like mindless mannequins and gather all they can. Hopefully if I play healer that is not an issue, since I can heal through it. As a DPS is not an issue either, as I spam FLARE with a relentessly passion while I maniacally laugh and pet my white cat (Which is on my lap). But still, I find it really annoying and rude. It pisses me off a lot. Good manners and education are traits that seem to be lost here. Of course I won't ragequit under that situation if we can still manage it.

As a side note, I don't think people should attack some of the ragequitters. Some people have their limits, they don't have to be full patient all time if they don't like something. They're free to leave the way and whenever they want. I understand that some of you don't ragequit, but you shouldn't sit there an attack the people who do it. Not everybody has the same tolerance about everything. .-.

And no, I'm not contradicting myself, speaking of good manners and education while I support the ragequitter. You can give everything to a group and if they don't progress, if they are stealing your time, if they are making you go through a situation that makes you feel REALLY uncomfortable, then you don't have to accept that. It's not like they won't replace you if you leave. Most of the time, a replacement comes right away while you leave, depending on the role.

If it is rage quitting because trolls, insulting/rudeness/bad behavior, discomfort over certain things (inappropriate behavior/comments/etc), broken gear (wouldn't call that a rage quit though), etc, then that's one thing that I would put up there with a sort of self defense (evading bullying, etc). I don't blame them for leaving. I did, because a person was insulting an FC mate and wouldn't leave.

I've had someone say "Oh, we're doing a full run? (IE all monsters, no skipping) Sorry, I don't have that much time before I have to leave, so I need to go" - apologized and left. No hard feelings left there because they left without being an ass about it. Hell, I'm fine with people leaving after many wipes and saying they just couldn't stay any longer (doesn't mean I'll personally accept a vote abandon, though lol - but the person is free to leave and the vote majority are free too vote what they want, I'm not going to judge). I'm fine with that, given they weren't stupid about it - just like the before-mentioned case.

But I've witnessed too many rage quitters leave because they couldn't have it easy (wasn't done in one swoop) and insult the group/call everyone stupid; point all blame on a person and then leave after one wipe, etc. They rage quit because they had to work for it/didn't have a win handed to them, or they themselves refused to have understanding for another (mistakes made, new to the fight, etc).

Leaving because someone is being an asshole, you need to go due to other things, etc is fine with me and I'm sure others.
Childish rage quits over stupid things, I just can't respect.
