Hi there,

I've tried to Google and search my way around this question, but with no luck so far.

The Update Campaign details state that once you have upgraded from PS3 to PS4, "you will no longer be able to access FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn using your PlayStation®3".

By upgrading to PS4, does this mean that your service account can no longer be used on any PS3, or just the client you were using? Does this mean that no one else can use your PS3 client to play?

The reason I ask is a little longwinded, but I think that's my basic question above.

The longwinded version (if you really want to know) is:

My wife and I both play on separate PS3s in our living room. My PS3 has been on the big TV, and hers is on a monitor on her computer desk. This is the way we usually play. She plays more than I do, and will often play at her desk while I'm doing something else on the TV.

Her PS3 is dying. It's an old fat 80Gb original, and has had lots of overheating problems. Several repairs later, it still turns itself off whenever it gets hot and is basically on its way out.

I've bought a PS4, which is now hooked up to the big TV. What I'd like to do is either:

a) upgrade my account to PS4, with my wife playing on my old PS3 at her desk

or

b) upgrade her account to PS4, with me playing on my old PS3 at her desk, but with the ability to still have her play on that PS3 when she wants to

I guess a third option would be for me to just buy FFXIV on PS4.

Just trying to figure out which of these options is more viable.
