New player waiting on Tonberry

Hey guys! I'm new to FFXIV and am currently waiting on to join the Tonberry server which i have heard, holds most of the oceanic/SEA based players. Unfortunately the servers been locked for the past 48hours for me. Does anyone know how long its been locked?

I have followed a couple of advices to stalk the servers at their off peak hours which is probably 3-4am (GMT+8) onwards for me. Still no luck so far...maybe its the holidays i guess and no ones logging out.

Probably because it's the holidays. Keep trying at off peak times which you've been doing, sometimes early in the morning works ^^ (6am or so)

Tonberry has a huge Oceanic/SEA player base, so it's best to just keep trying GL!

The mornings would be the best times to join the server, we've had a lot of new adventurers join the server recently so there is room .

Thanks, been trying for the past 4 nights now. Hopefully it will open up soon, i keep dozing off once i hit the 5-6am mark. lol

This thread is 6 months old and the circumstances then is quite different compared to today, since the expansion just released.

Anyway, it is always weekday early mornings. Admittedly, it is harder at the moment since the expansion just released and people are playing a lot. However, I have seen some new players who managed to create one recently. If you are impatient, you can create a character on another server and then pay to transfer to Tonberry.
