Why did SE decide to make the three new classes not require base classes?

What I see is that some players just wanna throw away the stories I've and maybe we have enjoyed for the pass year.

I don't think most of us want to get rid of the stories. Heck, I love the PGL, ARC, CNJ, and ROG stories, for example. If anything, I'd like to see the class stories do a better job leading into the job stories (ROG I think did a fairly good job). At the same time, though, I don't see any compelling reason to keep the classes and jobs as separate entities.
