    Fc raids

    Hello everyone

    I was wondering if you guys think that they will ever add raids that a whole fc takes part in at once scaled in dificulty depending on the amount of members in the fc entering as not all fc have 500 members.

    If not is this somthing the community would like to see added at some point?

    Any suggestions you guys have about this would be cool if you agree or disagree

    PS3 limitations.

    Aside from that, massive raids like that wouldn't be anything other than leeroy and spam whatever moves you have. There'd be no strategy involved other AOE dancing. The other issue is making content exclusive for FCs. A FC already has access to chocobo dying, training, and gardening. To make raids just for FCs would be a major slap in the face towards everyone else that didn't join a FC.

    I think they will eventually implement something like this, I don't think it will be very fancy, or glamourous, but I don't see why a 24 man raid is not possible. It may be a huge grind though, to get the raid going otherwise it would be too easy (possibly).

    When they do release it, it will be a glorious thing, and I don't think it will be limited to FC, but still if you have 24 people it would be a blast to do

    They could even have a fc tomes system based just on fc raids which allows the fc to purchase things like inc furniture space extensions to a fc house
    things like that, that way the whole fc has a common goal to work towards rather than it just being for gear.

    well no not really i was thinking more of a dungeon type raid where only fc's can enter with a tome type reward that only buys fc stuff such as improvements to fc housing things like that and preferably not just a zergfest somthing that actually needs some thought as to mechanics in the raid like the yeti boss in snowcloak type of thing not just run in and smash everything

    Well, the scaling difficulty comes from S Rank Hunts.


    What you want, IMO, sounds a lot like the overworld Primal Summoning system that got bandied about a while back.

    I don't disagree with the desire for content designed for Free Companies, But such content is going to be incredibly difficult to make feel good.
    It's difficult to create unique mechanics that scale both up AND down whiel also maintaining difficulty (A 4man FC would get the same challenge out of the fight as a 500 man FC). There would also be plateaus where it makes the fight easier than intended to have a specific, odd number of players involved. WoW's Flex Raids have that problem.
    There is also the problem of structure.
    By that i mean mechanics that are designed to stress a certain number of a given role. Tank swap mechanics as an example, or EX Ifrits/Levi Healer targeted effects. The mechanics involved in such a scaled raid would need to either be generic enough that it matters not how many of any role you have, or specific enough that forces you to have (for example) 2 Tanks in the raid per 6 other players. There would also need to be mechanics that stop you from just stacking your entire raid with roles that make the fight easier than it should be.

    That would take a LOT of effort to not only come up with, but keep varied enough that it doesn't feel the same as previously released raids of the same variety (Assuming they released more than one of this kind of raid).

    I would much rather they instead created a kind of randomized raid. One in which the boss is randomly generated and assigned a random set of abilities from any raid encounter.
    But not only randomly generated, randomly generated every time the fight resets after a wipe.

    I don't think there would ever be instanced content of scaled difficulty. The overworld Primal Summons sounds like the way to go for what you want.

    I assume overworld means stuff in the open world in general like hunts and fates and whatnot if so then wouldnt the overworld primal summons be like hunts where anyone can just attack them?

    I was thinking more inside dungeons type of raids where say the fc leader enters then only people from the same free company can enter also.

    And the idea of randomized raids sounds cool this could go hand in hand with fc raids so every time a fc enters they have no idea what to expect in each raid keeps each one sort new.

    There's a lot of ways they could go with something like this:

    They could stick with the 4/8/24 person limits
    They could give the existing FC points or chocobo foods as rewards
    They could give unsellable furniture as rewards
    They could incorporate DoH and DoL

    Coil is already a raid that is done primarily in FC, it would have to be something that you can do for fun that doesn't require top level gear.

    i like these ideas but i think the 4/8/24 restriction shouldnt be there though, i was thinking more of any number of members can enter as long as they are in the same fc.

    As for the doh/dol i really enjoy crafting and would love that kind of thing added but i dont know how they would implement somthing like that.

    I suppose they could make certain monsters drop items that craft into a ki needed to progress through the dungeon or have gathering nodes in there that then craft into a ki.
