If you simply don't have the time to play an MMO and would rather invest your time elsewhere there's absolutely no need to tell us.

Love how your image calls him out for posting his opinion as if it is ego driven when in essence yours is no more or less important than his (and this is coming from someone who doesn't agree with him). You feel its your job to tell him he has no need to tell us... irony at its finest...

Threads like this never ends well. We have one side that will generally say something like "why did you feel you needed to make a thread about you leaving? How egotistical of you" While the other side will say something around "It's his opinion he/she has the right to give feedback" then it's eventually having both sides attacking each other while OP slowly fades out of existence.

If you are a casual player, then you have to accept that there will be some content that is not for you. That's just the way it is.

By the way, you can get by just fine in the game without a relic weapon. I'm working on mine, but in the meantime, I've cleared all but Titan and Ifrit EX and Coil up through T8 with the i110 weapon obtained via soldiery tokens.

The Ego picture was posted based on the fact that he felt that he deserves to access/win all content in the game simply because he has a stricter amount of play-time.

If he expects to clear all the content an MMO has to offer with 1/2 hours to spare, he's deluded.



The vast majority of players loathe these posts the "IM LEAVING GUYS...IM REALLY GONNA DO!", hence my "You really don't need to tell us".

There comes a point when the game stops being fun and instead is just frustrating.

However all these things gave me something to do, so I never truly complained. I wanted something to do and I most certainly got it.

HORRIBLY frustrating. But that's what made FFXI so much fun as well. Once you finally got what you were working towards it felt AMAZING. You'd finally achieved what you wanted from your time/money/patience investment.

IMO AAR was what "easier than many games" at the first place,
I believe many players would pay to play for this reason, however, ARR is changing to a common time killing mmo.
That's why it disappointed many players. Ofcoz some of you like this but to be fair, if you don't want a easy game then why you play ARR? ^^;
There is nothing force anyone to do anything but there is something blocks some players to enjoy ARR.

People still think they have to grind relic weapons, that is what I dont get. They have never been anywhere close to necessary to progress through this game. If you don't like grinding a relic, choose the other options. Don't stress over it.
