    Practice Duty Finder

    I think if we had a separate section of the duty finder for practice runs, it may be helpful. Perhaps giving only half the reward for completion? Or maybe no reward, the reward being the practice and experience gained? What do you guys think? I know in party finder groups distinguish between "practice, learning" and "kill" parties, it may be helpful to have that in the duty finder as well.

    Why remove or modify rewards? a simple tag like "learning" should be enough, unless you were asking for practice content, like an easier version.

    Most players i know that want a kill group use party finder and most that want to practice use duty finder.
    I dont see why duty finder should give you any less of a reward for clearing the same content as a party finder group though.

    You know, I like this idea. But to expand on it a little, you could have a "Learning" Duty Finder for people who haven't done something yet. Or even better, a check box to indicate you're a first-timer. That way inexperienced players get grouped together in order to learn something together or just to practice to get better. If you're an experienced player willing to help new folks out, you could check this as well. People who want to speed run will stay out of this because they know they'll be slowed down by "Noobs", and the kinds of people who are willing to help new folks out will be less likely to compete against low-level gear for the sole purpose of desynthing or passing it off for Grand Company seals.

    It's funny because this works the other way around on Japanese servers.

    I would much prefer a filter option in the df. I do understand that the majority of DF users only use it for "practice" but there are some ppl like myself who would like to use DF to meet like minded people across servers who have achieved the same goals. A filter option that matches by achievement for raids would be a welcome change to those who to use df as another means of doing raid content but can't afford to wait hours for a group only to wipe. I would restrict it to raid content and remove the bonus so the only incentive is to get gear.

    Another change I would love is a re-queue with the same party upon completion with a limit of 3 so ppl wont instance camp. Combine this with the filter option and now raid content is viable as a farm in DF which is what I would love to see. It's not wrong to seek like-minded people however I am aware that some ppl will get the shaft since they haven't cleared it but that's life, you can't please everyone.

    This is actually a good idea. If you get into a party and it happens to be a great group....be kind of cool to run with them again.

    People would *never* check the box that puts them in with learning people.
    If people could get their heads out of their rears and actually teach people who are having trouble in the Duty Finder rather than just screaming at them to watch videos and rage quitting.
    Now i understand that some people just can't be helped, because they don't understand they are messing up (Flawed dps rotations, improper/lack of cooldown usage etc) and the Vote Abandon is a valid tool for dealing with that.

    But you would be incredibly surprised at how many "fail" DF groups churn out a solid win after just a few tries and some tips from experienced players.

    Though i do definitely agree with being able to queue again with a DF party you played well with.

    @OP;
    I disagree with a practice mode. People do many fights in slightly different ways. T6 has several strategies. If no one communicates which one they plan to use, and then tell people what that strat entails then your group of even 8 experienced players will fail.
    Personal experience, my friend who has been helping me get through EX Primals wanted me to join her in T6, gave me a video that explained the whole fight very nicely (<3 MTQ guides) and then said "But we wont be using that strategy".

    So If we had a practice mode you would often run into groups that Practice using the first guides to come out, when people were doing it in 'barely there' ilvls, while now people overgear T6 and use totally different strategies.
