This is actually a good idea. If you get into a party and it happens to be a great group....be kind of cool to run with them again.Another change I would love is a re-queue with the same party upon completion with a limit of 3 so ppl wont instance camp. Combine this with the filter option and now raid content is viable as a farm in DF which is what I would love to see. It's not wrong to seek like-minded people however I am aware that some ppl will get the shaft since they haven't cleared it but that's life, you can't please everyone.
Segregation is a terrible idea.
People would *never* check the box that puts them in with learning people.
If people could get their heads out of their rears and actually teach people who are having trouble in the Duty Finder rather than just screaming at them to watch videos and rage quitting.
Now i understand that some people just can't be helped, because they don't understand they are messing up (Flawed dps rotations, improper/lack of cooldown usage etc) and the Vote Abandon is a valid tool for dealing with that.
But you would be incredibly surprised at how many "fail" DF groups churn out a solid win after just a few tries and some tips from experienced players.
Though i do definitely agree with being able to queue again with a DF party you played well with.
@OP;
I disagree with a practice mode. People do many fights in slightly different ways. T6 has several strategies. If no one communicates which one they plan to use, and then tell people what that strat entails then your group of even 8 experienced players will fail.
Personal experience, my friend who has been helping me get through EX Primals wanted me to join her in T6, gave me a video that explained the whole fight very nicely (<3 MTQ guides) and then said "But we wont be using that strategy".
So If we had a practice mode you would often run into groups that Practice using the first guides to come out, when people were doing it in 'barely there' ilvls, while now people overgear T6 and use totally different strategies.

If new players could get their heads out of their rears and actually take on advice that is given in polite/helpful/jovial manner instead of totally ignoring anything said then we will get their. It's not just players that don't want to helpp, theres plenty that have too big an ego to admit they are derping and accept any help.Segregation is a terrible idea.

Good job cutting off my post and then parroting what i said in the part you cut off.If new players could get their heads out of their rears and actually take on advice that is given in polite/helpful/jovial manner instead of totally ignoring anything said then we will get their. I've never understood the NA mentality of using a random group (Duty Finder), where you have no control over composition, as the place to practice and learn.
Stop doing it. It's inconsistent. It's annoying for veterans and disheartening as a new player when people get annoyed with you.
Use Party Finder to get a group of like minded people with similar goals to practice & learn in a more controlled environment.
Use Duty Finder when you know the content back-to-front and want to do something quickly...
But the same could be said for veterans. If you absolutely want a clear, do party finder. It's as you said, there is no control over the composition of the party, so veterans should not have any expectations when doing DF. The forums are a small subset of the ffxiv population, and NA/EU culture operates on DF is for practice. This isn't going to change any time soon.I've never understood the NA mentality of using a random group (Duty Finder), where you have no control over composition, as the place to practice and learn.

*Queues for practice mode as a dps* "avg wait time: 3 days, 4 hours, 55 minutes"
Every run is a practice run until the boss is cleared, people need to stop acting like there is some huge penalty for failing a fight. Saying i want a button that ensures I get better players in DF is just not going to happen. Someone said SCoB DF is terrible, I DF t6 and t7 quite often and the groups probably clear around 50% of the time. Maybe people on my datacenter just have more patience towards those who haven't cleared, but that isn't a terrible success rate for randoms.
Everyone knows the restrictions for entering DF, they are written right next to every duty you select. They are very very light, if you want stricter ones that is what PF is for.

I'd prefer to do content in faster queue with high fail chance rather than waiting for longer queue, then again the so called practice people dont really have patient anyway, all they want are free carry, i keep seeing people in learning party from pf leaving after couple of wipes even though "training" is written there, or even people left abruptly when they die for their own incompetence..
Then i keep seeing people who label themself as farm group but still dont know mechanic and they always blame each other.. Nothing will sort this out {:v)

2 Words.. Guild Hest. Wish SE would utilize it more.
I just wish they would let us enter duties with less than a full party. Please stop making us wait for a full 8 members just so we can enter.
