If they plan on making the current relics carry over to the 3.0 relic quest chain, they will probably have to streamline the upgrade quests, so you may not need to gather everything if that is the case.

That'd piss off a whooooooole lot of people, I've got a Zodiac NIN and a Nexus DRG which was hell, if they simplify it like half the amount of Atma required, cut the amount of Animus Books required to 4-5 and reduce the amount of Light required for Nexus to say 1000 then I'd be furious.

Personally I think the 3.0 Relic/Zodiac Questline should require a completed Zodiac from 2.0 to continue it, or perhaps if anyone hasn't completed it and has bought the expansion then have a seperate Questline for a less powerful equivilent.

I agree 100%! The only thing I'd like to see and which wouldn't piss me off to no end is a reduced cost to alexandrite with allied seals, the amount of tomes for maps and an increase in alexandrite drop rate from fates, or let us get them form FATEs with other jobs. That would not bother me. It should always be 12 atmas because there is 12 zodiac symbols. The amount of books should stay the same too. Maybe make the fates for books spawn at least once a hour. That part got old fast. If you grind out each book they should only take about 3 hours each. That's mostly from FATE waiting. Team up with a healer or tank friend for the dungeon part to skip out on the wait. So far I've not found any part of the relic quest to horrible. I'm only on the alexandrite phase, 30/75, so that's probably why cheaper and easier to get alexandrite wouldn't bother me.

Idk I would be pretty happy if they made all the quests easier. I have a zodiac weapon so far, a Nexus, a novus and an up and coming animus for my WHM so you bet I would be thrilled if they made some steps easier.

No one complained when they nerfed atmas unless to complain about it not happening sooner.

My plan is to hopefully be done with animus and novus b4 patch 2.5. Then I can do zodiac and nexus stage at the same time ( because I already have a zodiac ). So between doing the zodiac part and running the crap out of 2.5 content, my nexus should be a breeze and should both wrap up at the same time maybe.

I would be thrilled also if they ease up on this crap, I in no way wish others to have the same pain xD

Could you imagine trying to find parties for the Zodiac quests when you're at lvl 60?

It definitely should require the 2.0 relic. Given what they've done so far, I'd suspect that SE will simply up the drop rates more and the fate spawn rates and the like to help new players along.

Are there any steps we can do on another job?

If you have another relic at the right stage (zenith), I think you can farm ATMAs. Alexandrite gathering maybe?

This seems unlikely to happen, so I would prepare to be furious. This is because it people whom start the game with the expansion would have to do these things with with overwhelming majority of the population not doing this content anymore. Completing the fates and dungeons would take forever.

More than likely the current relic will achieve its final form prior to the expansion. A new relic quest will begin with the expansion so that all players can be on the same footing.

But then that should be the reward for those who put the time and effort into the current Zodiac questline, maybe don't make it so it's an integral part of 3.0 but more likely an optional questline where-in if you happen to have a finished Zodiac weapon from 2.0 then good news we'll be continuing/supporting the expansion of the Legendary weapons in 3.0 which will take them onto a whole new level surpassing even the Zodiac Braves status of weaponry.

I don't disagree on making it more streamline like reducing the Animus book cost, slightly increasing the Atma drop rate even further, making Alexandrite a bit cheaper say 100 Allied Seals per unit or 250 Soldiery per Alex map and also increasing the certain infamous FATE's from once every 3-4 hours to every 30 mins, then I'd have no problem.

Has anything official been stated about a Relic/Legendary weapon questline in 3.0 out of curiosity, I'd like to get an official statement on it so I can either be appeased or pissed off prior to 3.0's launch :P
