If they do make the previous relic required to start the 3.0 relic they will likely create a series of, rather simple, quests that will serve as the upgrades themselves so that players, both new and old, can then start the new relic quest line.

But then that should be the reward for those who put the time and effort into the current Zodiac questline, maybe don't make it so it's an integral part of 3.0 but more likely an optional questline where-in if you happen to have a finished Zodiac weapon from 2.0 then good news we'll be continuing/supporting the expansion of the Legendary weapons in 3.0 which will take them onto a whole new level surpassing even the Zodiac Braves status of weaponry.

I don't disagree on making it more streamline like reducing the Animus book cost, slightly increasing the Atma drop rate even further, making Alexandrite a bit cheaper say 100 Allied Seals per unit or 250 Soldiery per Alex map and also increasing the certain infamous FATE's from once every 3-4 hours to every 30 mins, then I'd have no problem.

Has anything official been stated about a Relic/Legendary weapon questline in 3.0 out of curiosity, I'd like to get an official statement on it so I can either be appeased or pissed off prior to 3.0's launch :P

From what all the people that completed the relic or are continuing to do them, your reward is the grind. Wanting people to have to do the same thing you did just to be able to get the new relic quest is absurd and selfish. Like one poster said, why would they do that to make people have to farm old content that you and others will not even play anymore..unless you want them to force you to play said content over again doing more RNG grinding. The whole point of them creating new relic quest is to fix the awful system they have in place now. Yes you spent all your time doing it. Like many hardcore enthusiast have said, it was your choice. You should have known that it was a possibility that they would end it. So you just will have a type of weapon that most people probably won't have. Braggin rights. Congrats. But to alienate a large portion of the community so you can have something to brag about...I don't think SE wants that. It would in now way be fair to anyone who either hasn't had the time or just started to force them to have to do content that, even though they nerfed the requirements, they didn't nerf the damn DF times. So any nerf they add is cancelled out by having to wait to do content that not many are doing when you started your relic quest. So, best thing they could do? Revamp relic system, reintroduce it with new expansion, and for all of the Hardcore that are upset that it makes their relic weapon they spent months working towards( which are already obsolete anyways), take one for the team.

With linear content like this, they'll have to eventually make it easier just so there's enough people to catch up. New content is made hard and eases as it is replaced.

Also they are not unique, so you can buy them forward (20k seals for 1 Bombard Core and you would need 4 of them)

Zenith ---> Atma. You can acquire Atmas as any class as long as you have a zenith.
Animus ---> Novus. You can gather alexandrites as any class, you can gather them through:

1. Do your daily expert roullete once a day (only gives you an alexandrite once you have an animus).
2. Turning in 200 seals for 1 alexandrite.
3. Turning in 400 Soldiery for 1 alexandrite.
4. Doing fates with an Animus, Novus or Nexus equipped.

Nexus ---> Zodiac. You can run the specified dungeons as any class and you'll be able to obtain the item as long as you complete the dungeon.

So the only steps that require you to be a specific class is Atma ---> Animus, and novus ---> Nexus.

Once unlocked:
- Atma farming (need only a job with a Zenith)
- Alexandrite Map dailies
- key items from dungeons
- stuff you buy with tomes or GC seals (except the Animus books)

The first weapon need the longest, because you have to unlock everything first. Once unlocked you can farm specific items for the next relic before the next relic is at those steps.
