This because you also dont worry about specifically focusing one player to do everything right for you. You can easily just mouse over a player in the proper location without the hassle of targeting anyone.

Assuming your target is where you want to go.
It isn't necessarily problem with using it in general, it's a problem with using it to go where you want without the restriction of needing another player to determine your landing point. There isn't any good reason to need to target a player rather than target an area.

could also set whoever you want as a focus target and do that in your macro instead of mo
Ha! Try that using a controller and tell me how well it works. Controller users are pretty much forced to set their AM to a partly list slot and hope to hell whomever that person is, is where we want to go.

I have the same macro but also on PS4 so instead of <mo> i have <2> or whatever number it be that i want or you can use <f> as well
I usually know beforehand to not follow the tank in our group but the healer instead, lol

Well, you can use the DPad to move up or down the party list easily enough. It isn't impossible, it's just pesky if you're trying to do it quickly to avoid an attack or move out of AoE.
However, regardless of how many people respond with "this is how you use this ability", I still don't understand why it is necessary to even have the extra step of targetting a party member to teleport. I know HOW to use the ability just fine, but does it need to function the way it does? No.
The ability should allow you to move without a restriction based on where your other party members happen to be.
Just wanted to hear what you think about Black Mage in particular being dependent on two factors for their DPS. One of Foes Requiem and Battlevoice from the BRD and the other one is Fey Glow from a Scholar's Selene pet. I feel that these are nice, but it creates an uneven distribution of these things between certain teams. I am someone who clears end game raiding and I have recently started paying attention to it.
To me it feels that to reach the really high numbers on a BLM you need to have all of those. I see people getting two battlevoiced Foes in one fight. I sometimes never get hit by the Spell Speed buff as well. I'm not even joking when I say it costs me like 30 DPS at the end of the fight ...
