Actually...it could be a lucky strike, but I'm noticing a huge difference. Got Cornelia on my 6th try (meh)...then went to bloodbath and got it on my first try...and then went to the drowned sniper and got it on my second try. I went from 313 perception to around 220 (took off my forager's hat), and suddenly it feels easier, as I said, might be coincidence though.
Nah it's Christmas. Increased fish in the pools.Actually...it could be a lucky strike, but I'm noticing a huge difference. The whole take off higher level gear to catch higher level fish is funny. Purely speculation. I'm surprised people even do this, because they "read it somewhere". And people offer it as advice because they " heard it from someone". Don't waste your time, fish in forager's with your supra.
Just like to say, this fucking Mirrorscale has tugged once since I started fishing for it. It's been over 50 windows now, and the one time it tugged someone aggro'd a Goobue to me and let it aoe me.
My life. Kill me.
Maybe people are talking about less perception because it has worked for them. Aka made them "more lucky with rng"?
How I see it, is that each fish is different and they're "living creatures" that don't follow the rules, so I don't see it weird at all if "bigger fish needs bigger gathering" where perception is the thing that allows you to catch bigger fish, aka HQ. To me it seems it just balances it out and that's why the fish has their sizes too.
Like Matriarch could easily have it so that all of its species are very huge, and you'd catch the smallest ones if that is to happen and which your gathering allows.
I'm tired, heh, g'night.
rng is fun, just had been hunting rivet oyster and ... 4 fish got away in a row, lol, something must be broken with the rng generator, how come a fish with 6% probability to appear, came 4 times one after other, and in those 4 it goes away?, lol weird, anyway, after that and with some other fish between now had got another 3 got away, very slippery fish
I'm playing the waiting game, 3 fish left in my log. Carp Diem, which I can't get until the christmas event is over. Hell and Old Man. whose weather patterns are almost never up.
Its a random is as random does thing.
Someone here went 1/40 on the Matron. My fisher alt went 1/1 in less than 10 minuets. There are others I am 0/3 - 0/15ish on.
Oh, I tested the remove perception thing and determined, after a way too statistically insignificant sample, that its magical thinking.
