Well, at least we got to see her finally.

At the latest, we can at least expect some Au Ra lore with the benchmark that's planned for the end of the month, since character creation should have the general race spiel and then the two clans.

Though we can also hope some gets teased in the upcoming live letter or with the Developer's blog, or that they update the Heavensward website with new info sooner or later.

I'm really disappointed that she just lost her mask and that's it, no one is surprised or anything. I know a lot happened but still, she has freaking horns and scales and it's okay.

Yes, needless to say, this patch was an enormous disappointment on the Au Ra front. I was looking forward to a detailed reveal, and Yugiri doesn't even mention her race's name and nobody has a comment aside from Tataru's "she's pretty!" I mean, yes, Alf was in "a state" shall we say, but seriously, a little bit of backstory dump would've been a nice wind-down after all that action. Or even some before things begin happening, really. Her cavalier attitude towards it was really strange, as well, since she'd previously made such a massive fuss about not showing her face for fear of sparking fear and suspicion.

That said, it looks like I, at least, need to admit defeat: Yugiri seems to have lost her mask in Mor Dhona, and entered Dragonhead unmasked and was made known to Haurchefant and the guards (given his comments about your "comrades" waiting for you). It does seem like there will not be any Dravanian Au Ra, since if there were Auri in the Horde, Yugiri would've been met with nothing but cold steel at Dragonhead, rather than shelter. I suppose there's an off-off-off chance that they recognized her white scales as opposed to dark ones, but one would think it would still rate substantial comment from the Ishgardians if someone who looks like a portion of their ancient enemy trotted through their gates.

(Of course it's strange that none of the Ishgardians comment on her draconic features period, but, well, see first paragraph.)

Hopefully a lot more information comes with the live letter and benchmark. I definitely can't hide disappointment at how the "reveal" has been handled to date, though.

Exactly how I felt. I was hoping for more than just "yeah lost my mask woops so anyway..." and that was it.

Yeah, it doesnt exacly help that we don't even get to speak with Yugiri again. She just disappears and say "we domans will help"

I am guessing everything will be handled off screen and we'll pretty much here dialogue about people's reaction to the au ra from npcs in 3.0

Was kind of expecting her to have a more demonic/succubus look to her, as that would be a VERY GOOD REASON to hide her face (around those in Ul'dah, Gridania and Limsa Lominsa. Coerthas too, though I think they're more concerned about dragons, which she apparently does not look like given that she can apparently waltz around Dragonhead, the land of dragon haters).

I'm not sure about you, but my character looks pretty shocked when he saw Yugiri (who was off screen at this point).

I totally called that she would turn out to be way prettier than the other female NPCs. Yes, yes opinions, I know.
