Can you fix glamour item drop rates yet?

I've been trying to get the full Fistfighter's Jackcoat set for quite some time, but the dungeons refuse to drop anything for me but everything else. I've started keeping track of how many times I do Halatali Hard for the Fistfighter's Gloves, and I have noticed that roughly 65% of the time my parties have received level 70 crafting items like Peacock Ore, Potash, Minium, etc. Items like Voidsent Blood, Filtered Water, and Cooking Sherry don't even sell for more than 10 gil each on the Market Board.

These level 70 crafting items might be decent in theory, but you can get these items even more efficiently by trading Grand Company Seals, rather than relying on the random drops from these same dungeons. Approximately 6 FATEs at 250 seals will get you 1500 GC Seals, or you could do 4 GC Leves for the same result. We're at a point where these kinds of items have become far more of a detriment than a boon for dungeons.

Please consider removing these crafting items from the treasure pool. If not this, atleast add recipes to the game that can create equipment using these aesthetics. Something's gotta give.

But they're not glamour. Maybe you see it as a glamour item, but to a newer player it's a good piece of equipment they want.

    His thought still stands.

We are getting flooded with crafting materials we have other means to get, and not the actual gear that ONLY drops in dungeons. As example, ever wonder why we rarely see many players running around in Darklight, Crystal Tower, First Coil, or Artifact+1 gear sets anymore, despite being more than viable for most content? It's because we have enough tomes to buy better before we ever see the whole set!

Considering the vast majority of gear with their iLVL sitting between 50 and 100 is locked to dungeon/raid loot chests, with more gear being relegated to said chests each patch, its become increasingly frustrating to dance around multitudes of potential gear for yourself because you keep getting filtered water instead of a Pilgrim Robe you want so badly for a pretty WHM vanity.

In short, I agree with the OP. The ratio of the mats verses gear drops is outrageous and needs some serious tweaking as said mats have no value on the market and can be easily obtained in other ways.

Hilariously, if you don't want the armor that drops, you could trade it in for GC seals, and use that to get the crafting item that most people probably don't want. Haha. Thanks, SE!

So... Because people might want the armor for something other than glamour, the poor drop rate is legit? I don't get it. If anything, that should make them want to make the drop rate EVEN BETTER.

I don't understand the thinking of these materials dropping in these dungeons at all. See previous comment about just buying them with the GC seals from trading in unwanted armor once you get all the armor you want.

Seeing as how the content is outdated, I can't really see them going back and fixing it at this point.

They have acknowledged that the players don't really like it and will probably just fix it going forward.

That's even more reason for the loot tables to be adjusted in favor of armor over crafting mats.

Ive just spent 5 hours trying to get the Darklight chest for monk/ninja to use just for glamours and Ive seen one actual piece of gear from the chest its supposed to drop in contrast to about 10 or so crafting mats (about 3 runs per hour).

Considering how 'low-tier' the mats have become they should just become cheaper via seals or if you keep them in the dungeon drops make darklight available via GC seals or Hunt Seals. It cant be that hard consideringg every new tier of Tomestones they shove the old gear into something similar (new dungeons, hunts, etc). That or introduce multiple layers of dyes because then i could just get the pvp chest that looks the same and make it the colors i want >.>

Sorry; I said "glamour items" because this is essentially how Square-Enix has referred to the items in past Q&A sessions.

I remember them mentioning in the past (I believe around the implementation of 2.3) that they would look into fixing drop rates for this equipment, but now it is almost 2.5 and we still have not seen any change. This is one reason I felt composed to writing the original post.
