The first classes that came with 1.0 and 2.0 are staying, while the new jobs that are releasing for Heavensward are staying as jobs with NO classes. That means future content after Heavensward is having jobs and no more classes, unless they are adding new crafting and gathering professions.
Sweet mother of Titan!
I did not expect to get a confirmation for the continuation of the Class Guild Storyline.
Praise Odin!
I'd love to be able to check on the Rouge guys again. And Milala.
Also miss the folks from the Lancer and Gladiator guild. Glad to know there's more stuff coming their way.
That their quests, their story, continue means little in terms of how much they will be used. They should either leave them unused come 30 or work on making them worthwhile at 60, putting effort in to remove them would just be a waste of time. It leaves us exactly where we are now but involves them putting effort in... Effort which could be spent on literally anything else... I'd rather they work on a new Job than reworking the existing Jobs to be there from Lv1...
Not all of the classed quests stories came to a real close, and many leave open ends that can be further explored. Which sounds like fun, these were interesting stories on their own, and I'd love to see some of the characters again.
Though I wonder what Level range these continuations will be and the requirements to access these continuations. That their quests, their story, continue means little in terms of how much they will be used.

However, since these continuations are after we graduate from the Class Guild and not all will get a continuation, I guess the requirements will mostly just be level range with dialogues affected by our progress with certain classes/Jobs we unlocked like if we are a Machinists taking on the continuation of the possible Pugilist Class Storyline the NPCs will mention how we fancy Machinist combat style now.
I wonder if the post-50 job quests will tie into the base class's original storyline. (this obviously does not apply to the new jobs, or the crafting/gathering classes)
I doubt that would happen but meh we never know what is planned for the level 51 to 60 Job quests.
Most of the Job so far already set the stage for their lvl 51 to 60 storyline such as...
Summoner Job quest hints we will focus on finding that mysterious Ascian.
Warrior Job may deal with the aftermath of the rampage due to how it hints about the recovery of the Warrior trainer's Brother and the little girl we see in the lvl 50 Warrior Quest may play a big role in it.
Ninja Job most likely will be finding the Legendary 4th Mandra.
Paladin Job continue the search for the Paladin Order's Sacred Sword Oathkeeper.
Scholar Job may focus on finding a cure for the Tonberry Curse.
Monk Job may just continue the Training of a Monk and continue research of Chakra thus unlocking more powerful martial art technics.
Bard Job may expand on how the Bard Trainer is doing now that he no longer has PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
Dragoon Job, well a bit obvious due to 3.0, most likely expands on preparing to fullfill the Azure Dragoon Destiny and we may face a certain someone once again due to not finding his body or any sign of his death.
