Doing this has solved so many login resets its ridiculous. Nice thing is you can set a free destination in-game for teleports. Did you log back into your account and take down the reset password? It will save you time if you have to uninstall the software token app, you can use the automated system to remove and then put back on the token instead of having to talk to customer service.

An average modem like a Virgin Media SuperHub for example draws 13W at max which, in the UK at least, equates to about £20 a year... hardly breaking the bank if it is mostly about energy costs that's the issue in this thread.

Has nothing to do with consumption. You leave the modem on... the DNS cycles when the ISP wants it to, it happens without warning usually early in the morning "when no one is awake" and takes only a few seconds. Usually happens if a DNS has to be maintenanced or taken offline for whatever reason. No one has a choice. If you have to restart your modem/lose connection your modem doesn't have a choice but to possibly switch DNS.

Must be a pretty crappy ISP then, my IP only changes when there's a power trip or if someone turns it off and it has to re-connect, apart from that it stays constantly on the same address for as long as it's on.

I don't know what country the OP is in, but that's how it works here in the U.S. Legal Monopolies abound and they do what they want because of strangleholds on Congress. Yay, U.S. infrastructure!(not)
