Computer: Toshiba Qosmio x505 q888
Processor: i7 q740 1.73ghz
GPU: Nvidia GTS360

Oddly enough, this is one problem I have not had, monitoring my card I usually stay around 65C. I know desktops are a different story but for those using laptops there are several ways to keep your computer cooler:

(obvious to most yes) Keep them on hard surfaces, preferably with a cooling base with build in fans, don't play you laptop on your bed.

Keep your settings humble (also works for desktops) sure you cant control polycount but you can lower certain things like resolution to tax it a little less. My older computers GPU went anywhere from 80 to 90C when running at 1080p(sounds unreal yes but, it was a Mac) dropping it to 1600X900 dropped the temp to the 70s

Finally on laptops avoid the high performance power settings (use balanced, if possible use the company provided power plan my i7 drops 10C when i switch to Toshiba Eco mode with little effect on performance. GPU, Nvidia GTS360, dropped about 5C.

Desktop owners, your lucky, Graphics cards are not that expensive, GTX460 is still considered high end and I've seen most of them around the $180USD mark. When exchangeable parts get old or go bad you can simply replace them. while posting i'm running the game on standard settings, Temps GPU is at 61C and I7quad (8 cores) are all 78-80 on balanced power kicking on eco mode drops them to GPU 58 CPU 70. Hope this help someone.
