The problem is it's not my fault, because the issue isn't isolated to just me. There are tons of people who I have seen complain about the very same thing, in fact the simple fact that most of the people came in here already knowing this was going to be about Balmung shows just that. If I were the only person who felt this way, then I'd be happy to just pack up my things and leave, but that isn't the case, and thus the problem isn't mine. The ball is in SEs court to fix an issue that numerous players are having, whether it be people who want to make alts (especially with the addition of a new race coming soon), people who have friends they want to get into the game and play on the same server as them and their other friends, or people simply interested in joining one of the many communities who play on Balmung.

It is piss poor reasoning to just say "Oh well tough shit" and tell people to move on. If the issue is simply a matter of there being to many people AFK or loitering in the cities, re-institute the AFK kick timer to free up server resources. If it's a matter of too many concurrent connections, that's what the bloody server queue is for, don't disallow character creation on a server just because people would have to wait in a queue to get in, that is much more acceptable than having to stay up until 7-8am every morning for a week hoping that the server opens up and you can make a character on it.
