Can't get my novus to rank up from extreme to bursting.

So 2 days ago I finally reached extreme rank with my novus weapon and was so happy to only have one last rank (or 200 points) left to go before it will hit cap so I could upgrade it to nexus.

So I started a bit yesterday but really went hardcore in primal fights/light farming today to just get it done and out of the way. I started to tally all the bright fights I did to keep track of how many I had completed before I reached 50 kills (bright kills).

After 38 I stopped but soon after I did 4 t4, 2 t1, and 4 ramuh followed by ifrit for nearly 2 hours (5 mins a run!). This is not including the few things I did the day before this. After all that I realized it was glitched and not either going up lvl or just somehow stopped gathering light points.

If someone can figure out my dilemma I would appreciate it, I do not wish to remain on this light farming endevour any longer and wish to move on!

Yes I had my relic equipped the whole day.

I've easily done over 70 bright kills now. No change in rank.

After another hour of grinding it finally went up to bursting! I am no longer in need of assistance but after easily doing 80+ battles for the last rank (bright kills only) it somehow stopped registering.

After the fight did it say your weapon emitted some type of light ? Also it tells you when you're vomplete with the quest.

Yes, each fight said I was acquiring light and I also check my zodiac glass to make sure if it hit cap or not (was later informed by bro it would be in giant words across screen so that seems silly now but w/e)
