Is pre-buffing neccessary?

question about Succor. (I'm new to SCH)
Succor creates barrier which nullifies same damage as was healed, but if the HP bars were full then no heal took place, so can it really be considered a pre-buff?

The heal applies and so does the shield even if they are full health. I abuse the crap out of succor when I SCH. If it content that has lots of AOE or splash damage I like to make sure everyone has a little green next to thier health bar. And if you know a hit is coming but peeps are at full health you should cast that succor.

Also while I hardly cast heals from my SCH during 4 man content... I micro the shit out of my fairy and use my buffs... So I am not directly healing but my fairy isn't usually on auto pilot. Seeing Eos on auto by another SCH makes me cringe ><

You'd probably cringe seeing me heal then. I use Selene on Sic 99% of the time. More killin' less healin'! >.>

On topic;

Prebuffing in my opinion depends on the group, and the content. Like I do;
Trial Roulette Content pre-2.5; Succor
2.5 content/ex's, Succor, Adlo on MT
Raids, Adlo Crit, Succor
CT? No. Never know WHEN it'll FINALLY be pulled.
Your average Dungeon; Adlo on the tank.

Overall though it should all depend on the content, how much time you have to prepare, and how much you really care. In general the first 10 seconds or so the average content in the game won't kill a tank that quick. In general, it doesn't matter whether the tank is buffed, as soon as Aero's been fired, Cleric stance comes down for an adlo or a succor, so people will be shielded then anyay.

In conclusion, prebuffing; (other than Protect) is it necessary? Not for most content, no, just can be helpful.
