Is pre-buffing neccessary?

Is prebuff necessary? No. Does it help? Sure. I cast SS/Aldo on the tank before pulls. That'll give me time to cast E4E, CS, cast DoTs, Bane, and Shadow Flare. I'll place the fairy some point in between and that'll leave the tank to roughly around 50-70% health with the fairy healing. At that point it's business as usual. I'll do the same with WHM, except I'll do divine seal + regen and E4E, spam CS/Holy until tank is under 50%. I'll rinse and repeat SS/Aldo (or if WHM, just SS) when last mob/mobs are around 10% hp.

If the tank runs away by time either of them are done casting or they're out of range then I just won't cast it. Not necessary and the tank shouldn't die. Just helps in the end.

In final and also second coil, my sch always asks me to wait for their crit adlo. Another content? I really see no use but like, wth, sch have so much mp anyways.

The answer will always be no. To put it simply, no damage from the first few attacks will kill the tank. Unless you're doing t13 and where the auto attack can rip through your Stoneskin/adlo like paper. Whether you pre stoneskin or adlo/succor for any other content is at your discretion. Nobody else has the right to demand that out of you and your play style. Now with Stoneskin 2 it's a lot less effort to Stoneskin the party but it doesn't make you lazy choosing not to. Protect is more reasonable to pre-cast but when I join garuda hm during bright farm I just cast it on whomever and hope it hits enough people because everyone usually initiates the fight. People will literally find any reason to qq which is why I choose to do my job as I see fit and most importantly keep the party alive.

As a sch main too. There's a couple of things wrong about the idea you're trying to get across. Pre adloing/ss a tank at beginning of fight saves you a couple of seconds of heals, if you are raiding. Scholars don't have a problem with mp therefore that one physick that they didnt have to cast is irrelevant. Also people aren't talking about not adloing for big hits or even stoneskinning during the fight for special reasons, they just have determined they're level of confidence in the fight and already mapped out what is and isn't necessary. What you view as lazy because "extra buttons", is a very narrow perspective.

Yes, it just means you are ahead by at least one cast on heals and can DPS on the out set.

I don't have Stoneskin cross-classed because I don't feel it's worth the bother in content where I can't rely on there being a WHM to cover it instead.

If people plan to seed run, then they are simply stupid if they try to run ahead without waiting for a buff.

last i checked, sch was all about preventing damage
not using ss and adloc on sch is like never using defensive cooldowns on pld

SS on a PLD by a SCH is very meh.
But SS on a WAR with thrill on ^^
