Yea, this stuff that happens to console FFXIV players kinda hurts when you can't log on to play the game. I know last month it was irritating getting kicked off every few minutes.

Square Enix and Sony NEED to sit down and make some kind of deal that will allow LEGIT PLAYERS to play what they are PAYING for.
It's not acceptable that PS3/4 players can't play the game when PC players do because of some bs authentication design choice.

The problem with this is Playstation systems require a connection to the PSN servers since you have a Playstation account. For FFXIV we tied our PSN account to our SE account, so in order for us to log in SE needs to check that your SE account is tied to the PSN account. They can't really avoid it, the check needs to be there, otherwise non-PS3/4 copy owners could log onto the game with their PS3/4.
It sucks, but that's how it has to be. I can't think of any workarounds.

I was thinking just that. All of us who play on ps3/ps4 should consider signing a petition to let us play FF14 without having to sign in to PSN, after all we are PAYING.
So annoyingngngngn!!!!
