As FFXIV doesnt require PS+ to play online, why cant SE ask sony to remove the requirement to be signed into PSN to play?

It's a shame too, I'm almost done with my two months and not sure when I'll be able to play again. The attacks mean that during the last few days I can't really do all that much.

You're right. I hope they compensate us for losing days on our accounts. It's only fair. We paid for usage...we should be able to use!!!

They will compensate you , but you'll get to choose 1 of 3 relic games that nobody wants to play or have been free in the past as a thank you for letting loose on there twitter feed and calling them all sorts of names

I think it's time for game publishers should push to remove these restrictions .. If netflix and sony can come to an agreement.. It's not completely impossible for Sony and Game developers to do the same. If sony is completely incapable of keeping Psn or returning it to any state of functionality then you shouldn't lock games behind it.

I think the reason that PS4 needs to authenticate with PSN for FFXIV is so people can't cheat on trophies by logging into a bunch of other peoples accounts. So you can't log in when PSN is offline.
