I remember being able to bypass PSN when I played on PS3, It bothers me SE can't have their client do the same with PS4.

Technically ffxiv needn't psn. Psn dendency is artificial. I can understand this in a situation when i needn't reenter password each time and can pay for subsscription using psn. For other ps network games it's so, for this - no. Pity (

seeing that others feel the pain caused by those barloomin lizards is comforting.

hoping things get sorted before my trial period ends and i start losing out on my subscription - sometime over the next few days :s

Yep, having outages for entire days with our subs ticking really sucks. Hopefully we get back online soon and can get back to adventuring

I have a couple questions. 1) Can i purchase a digital copy for pc without being charged an additional sub? 2) I play collector on ps4, do i need collector for pc or just a standard digital copy? I am ready to set up on my pc just to get in and do my plants and craft and talk to my friends over christmas. Advice is appreciated. Thx.

1) yes, in fact you get 30 days free with your purchase
2) nope, standard is fine

Only issue you'll have is having to redo all your hotbars/macros/etc.

I actually just did that as I've mentioned in my last post in this thread. I bought standard digital (PC) copy of the game and then added it to my account through mogstation (I own PS4 Collector's Edition). It let me to play on PC and added 30 days of game time. I don't know if it makes difference, but I made sure I bought actual Digital Download Key, and not steam gift as I thought it might actually register to different account. Remember to register the included key to your active account through mogstation instead of making new one with the key. For me it worked out well.
