Do blacklisted people get a system message when trying to send you a tell, invite etc

That's what I get when I try to send a /tell to someone I have blacklisted.

Will that person see any warning on screen (or in chat), similar to the one I get when sending a tell to someone on my Blacklist, to notice them I am on their blacklist?

I heard they only get a message if they try to send you a party invite.

Also, bonus question:

Do people get any message when I'm in /busy status, in the same way you get a "target is in duty and couldn't receive your tell"?

I've not yet had reason to test it out, but I really do hope it sends a message because some people, if they don't get the message that they're blacklisted and they think you're just ignoring them, it could just make the situation worse.

I've tried to tell people that are busy before and I've been alerted to that fact... I do not know if blacklisted people get notified for being blacklisted as I do not believe in have ever been blacklisted...

I've had someone ranting at me before when Im busy and wouldnt stop so I've put them on blacklist. 10 mins later I take them off and they're still going seemingly not noticing they were blacklisted.

Either it doesnt show a message or people that need to be blacklisted aren't paying attention to anything beyond what they have to say.

I heard it doesn't show a message to them... Which is pretty unfortunate indeed.

I believe the sender will get a message similar to messaging a player from a different server. A generic one that state something like this player cannot be reached. Don't remember exactly..

Oh, the same kind of message that shows when you try to add someone offline to your friendlist, or add to your blacklist someone from another server (using /blacklist name xxx yyy)?

I believe it plainly says "player not found".

Also, if I got someone blacklisted they can't find me via Player Search or see my /shouts /say etc IIRC

You do not get an error message for sending them a message, but if you try to send a friend request you will get an error that says "unable to send friend request"

I tested this out with a friend.

If somebody puts you on blacklist you will NOT see anything, your message will go trough, the player that messaged you however will not receive you.
If you try to send a mail to a person that has blacklisted you you will get an error message, something along the lines of 'unable to send mail to player, attached gil and items successfully recovered'.
If you try to invite a person that has blacklisted you, you'll get a message saying 'unable to invite player'.

If you want to find out if somebody blacklisted you, just send a mail. If the mail goes trough you are not blacklisted, If the mail doesn't go trough you are blacklisted.


I'm not sure why you just don't get a message when trying to send a tell, I mean you can use the mail system to actually find out if somebody has blacklisted you so it's not because of privacy reasons.
Something else I would like to see is that if you blacklist somebody you will also get deleted of their friend list.
