Au Ra Naming Conventions Speculation Thread

Yugiri uses Doman naming conventions. Even the Hyur follow it and that convention is "Japanese personal name" "Nature themed last name"

If we assume there's going to be a Dravanian strain rather than all Au'ra come from Doma we can look at the proponderance of Russian names among the Dravinian horde as a basis. On the otherhand they only have one name to go from.

Well considering Yugiri is a Doman; it follows traditional Doman naming. The Au Ra may not all be from Doma.

Well if we look at named dragons in game, the majority seem to be based on IRL dragon names types with a slight leaning towards Russian/slavic names. So if we assume that Eorzean AuRa are from Dravinia we might see them using Slavic naming schemes in part.

We really have no one we can look to for hints as to what their names might be like except the race name itself.

Yugiri as mentioned has a Doman name, ie. eastern themed Hyur naming conventions.
