Well considering Yugiri is a Doman; it follows traditional Doman naming. The Au Ra may not all be from Doma.

Othard is a continent; Doma is a city. Not all Au Ra will be Doman citizens.
I believe Yugiri also mentioned that a vast part of Othard was under attack from Garlean forces; not just Doma.

There was a hint as regards to what the two "tribes" are called, as well as basic confirmation that "Yugiri" is an Au Ra name.

We know 2 tribes:
1. Raen -- has always had a close relationship with doma, as such have japanish names (probably where Yugiri comes from)
2. Xaela -- Are nomadic

A1: There are two clans: Au Ra Raen and Au Ra Xaela. Au Ra Raen have been closely related to the Domans for long time, so their names are somewhat Japanese-like. The Xaela on the other hand have led a nomadic lifestyle for some time, and they have a unique naming convention.

Hence a bit of frustration over the vagueness of "they have a unique naming convention". I like the look of the dark horns better, so my Au Ra character is going to be a Xaela, but I still have no clue what sort of name he should have. I sure hope this teaser bit of info is followed soon by a more detailed Naming Conventions sticky post in the Lore forum.

maybe with a way people think the darker au ra the xaela are going to be demonic while the rein are more draconic, it might be a good assumption (for now) to say that the xaela have more biblical/ demonological names such as lucifer.

then again we know hardly anything of the xaela we only know one Raen and we know theres are japanese like so on the 27th (when i think benchmark will come out) we will see but i do hope they post the naming conventions soon, i have been sat on a name for my raen au ra for a while and i want to be lore friendly D:
