If it annoys you that much, there is the option to remove the sound from the game and you can play your own music until the festival is over. That way everyone is happy.

Having my music in game music turned completely down, I've yet to experience the festival music... that and the mankinis look absolutely stupid, so I haven't really gone out of my way to do much of the event.

I was kind of expecting the summer event music to be in the cities or while doing the bombard event only but if we're going to have to listen to this till 8/29 or w/e the event is ending it's gonna start becoming torture for some people lol. Wasn't expecting almost every map to have this music lolol

i am talking for myself. and the linkshell, if we happen to be in the same linkshell then sorry but your name doesnt look familiar to me. this music plays in every city and in every level 20 crystal zone i think so its pretty anoying. its also very short and too catchy which makes it twice as annoying. i listen to the game music 24/7 normally so turning it off is something i dont really like to do, so im simply making a suggestion to remove it, or atleast make the music play only for those who are near the fireball, not in the whole area.

I loved this music! Its very FFish IMO and it must stay! Those who don't like it can just go to configurations and turn background music of for the next 2~3 weeks! ^^

The music is cool in town, but not cool outside town.. I think it's corny outside town.. It's supposed to be ambient music outside, as if it's not really music at all, created to go along with the "feel" of the area.. imagine standing in front of a dragon in some dungeon listening to it.. It's just odd.. It's odd when I'm running thru the shroud and I hear the festival music and it hurts immersion imo.

I got rather annoyed by the loopyness of it last night. I think you tend to notice it more when your outside the cities running to wherever. I personally don't mind it in the city, but when im in the black shroud running, it gets bothersome.
At that point I just turn down the music and turn on itunes. no biggie, but it feels weird and takes away from the ambience.

Its just like this event is in FFXI...the areas that have firework and decorations also having music. And since its just temporary ppl should just have fun with it! Think that in 3 weeks it will stop and you will have only the default musics until, at least, halloween start. ^^:
