Animation While Teleporting

Was pondering today, why is there no animation while teleporting?

I activate it and see that nice aether effect surround me, but feel it is lacking some type of "meditation" or "prayer" type animation from my character. Hell, they could even re-use a spell casting animation, anything would be nice besides just standing there devoid and motion-less. It seems like something the devs could easily throw into 1.19 or 1.20.

I think the animation is fine, though could benefit from something additional like you say. My issue with it is that your character doesn't disappear at the end of the animation. The nice little animation goes off and you're still standing there for 5 or 10 seconds, then you just disappear.

What did the teleport animation actually accomplish? As soon as the animation finishes, your character should vanish from sight.
