Its there for people who want it. I'm only doing the relic casually since I currently don't need my tomes, so what better way to spend tomes than to use them for relics.

With that said I don't feel a sense of achievement knowing that my current weapon is >>>> future upgrades.

In the end its a long term goal that others may not see the point of anymore.
