Petition for a differnt combat UI

I never noticed before either because I MUST have been doing something different (when I was playing from OB) or maybe there was a change I am unaware of from following the patch posts. But, that's what I get for taking time off to let things progress. /sigh At least I know now so I can only HOPE it won't hinder my PT playing ability. No one likes looking like a noob. LOL

You know what else every other MMO has in common? Good combat.

Yeah right lol. I thought the combat in most of the other MMO's I've played was total garbage personally.

Sure, this game could still use some polish, especially with the server side response times, but the last thing it needs is to take a lesson from the combat in other MMO's.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind a less action bar based combat UI, but I can cope fine with what we have now too. I still like the idea they tossed around back in the beta though, about there being two totally different UI's, one for gamepad players, and one for mouse/keyboard players... Personally I can't play without a gamepad, so yeah, a custom tailored UI specifically with that in mind would be welcome. The action bar just feels more like keyboard thing to me.

But hey, at least this MMO natively supports gamepads... That's a hell of a lot more than I can say for certain other MMO's. :P

Snow Tiger? have you ever tried like a Macro gamepad like a Logitech G13 or something similar? I was like you when I went from 360 to PC with XI and now I have one of those and it's amazing! Just a thought. Liked your post btw.
