Petition for a differnt combat UI

almost every MMO i have ever played had atleast 1 thing common. that is they all used skill bars for every ability. I personally hate the idea of that and I've always hated that, it might be the main reason i loved ff11 because they didn't force u to do that. yes people made macros and went staight back to the skill bar pretty much but i didn't which is why i made this thread. I don't want to get rid of the skill bar, that would be stupid because plenty of people enjoy it, i just want an option for a menu (like every ff has when in a battle doesnt have to be like that just saying menus go with FF).

I loved FFXI UI combat too but xiv isn't xi.

i dont mean macros i hated macros i never used them on my thf sam blm rdm and i loved it i loved using the menu and refused to do macros so thats y i just want an option of something else (yes im saying this out of personal want but atleast im not talking for other ppl)

For cereal though, they are working on drag and drop UI and a PC only interface, as stated in previous letters.

even though i liked how it worked in FFXI (i personally used a mix of both, especially on my RDM) they need to make the current bar less invasive (the bolt shape on the side is too much and you cant resize it or even have more then one right now) If they can get those things done, id be happy to see them add it...heck id probably use it.

you can make macros and set things up pretty much like FFXI, its not that hard

I don't think he means the macros, but a menu like in the traditional FF games. You click on Attack and choose your attack skill, you click on Magic and choose your magic skill.

but with the way you learn skills and have to equip them, a menu like that would be very limited
