There is nothing in Mining or Botany that compares in the slightest with big fish.

Perhaps not right now, no. However! We are looking into releasing a new system to motivate both miners and botanists, but it will be somewhat different from Big Fish. This system is scheduled for some time after the expansion, but once we have some more information we'll be sure to share!
