The posters don't think they're DPS. They're using their toolkit to supplement the DPS of their group during times of light on coming damage. There's a distinct difference between thinking "RWAR, I'M A DAMN DPS!" and "So, I have an opening to DPS at these junctures of the fight because my fairy/Regen can handle the damage for now"

That's what people are advocating (mostly, there are some idiots who do think "RWAR, I'M A DPS" healer, but everyone else knows they're silly people)
