Healer should not dps in the dungeons?

I don't agree with the healer dps'ing. I'm a tank and in advanced 8 man content, I don't want to see healers dps'ing at all. Your reflexes have to be on the ball all the time as a healer in tough content. If a healer is dps'ing in 4 man content then obviously I'm not doing my job properly. I should be pulling enough mobs to keep the healer engaged in his primary duty to heal the group.

Maybe I'm just old school?

In most 8-man content, there is more or less a rote script to the battle. If you have the fight memorized as a healer, you'll know when you will need to heal, when your MP needs to be conserved, and when it is safe to throw out other spells.
