Some people told me that if, as a healer, I had time to DPS it means that they should pull much more trash to burn next time ...
It makes sense but it's probably not a very efficient way to go.

Pretty much what everybody else said. No logical person would turn down extra dps.
I can hit 1,800 dps on the first pull of ST.
Providing the tanks group and flash enough, otherwise I get destroyed in seconds.
A White Mage has the potential to out-dps every class throughout a dungeon on trash mobs (Zero chance of winning vs. a boss though).
My dungeon DPS rotation is:
Regen
Cleric Stance On ......}
Swiftcast.................}In the same GCD if you're quick enough
Holy
(PoM if it's up)
Stoneskin
Holy
Stoneskin
Holy
Etc...
You should only get maybe 3/4 holy per pull.
If you've got Benediction up just spam Holy and watch their stun immunity.
MP isn't an issue.
Shroud is on a fair cooldown... Use it early, it'll be up following 1 or 2 groups.
Also consider the walking distance mp regen.
Please make the community a better place and report all three people in that dungeon for abusing the vote kick feature.
I get sad when healers don't DPS at all and just standard there idle for 10 - 15 seconds at a time. Please continue to DPS. <3 as long as everyone is alive healer DPS is most welcome. And if once in a great while you accidentally cleric heal and let the tank die.. well, I'll get over it. :P
Those people were clueless, if you kept up with the heals healers can dps in between nothing wrong with that
And i agree with others, sometimes healers can kill a mob before my spells go off, lol
Also very much agree that the Bard was probably hurt because you were exceeding his damage by a large margin, lol

I can sort of understand the apprehension of a healer DPSing in a DF'd dungeon. However, as long as the healer is good, you can judge just how worried you should be on the first pull alone. That pull takes a lot of trust that your healer won't let you die, so if s/he accomplishes that then your anxiety should subside. I usually tank any DF dungeons I run, so I usually pull 2 groups at a time - if I die from that, then I start pulling 1 group at a time. Healing + DPSing is all about earning your party's trust - but as the OP shows, not every party trusts even the most competent of healers.
I hope I never run into any of those people you grouped with.
You can't fix stupid.
While a Healer is not required to DPS - and frankly, people who claim Healer DPS is absolutely mandatory are just as big of idiots and probably can't pull their own share of DPS - if a Healer such as yourself is good enough to both keep the party alive and throw in some DPS for good measure, then I certainly don't have a problem with it. And as shown by previous comments, people certainly appreciate a Healer who goes above and beyond his/her designated role.
Stay golden, buddy.
As long as I will be kept alive, you can do whatever you want. Dps, dancing Nyan-Nyan, Macarena or Manderville, alt-tabbing your stuff, whatever is fine.
