Healer should not dps in the dungeons?

Depends. I'm not going to DPS on WHM or SCH if the tank is doing repeated pulls one after the other with big groups and not many breaks in between, I may be helping to kill everything faster, but I'm also draining the resources I could be using sooner. Usually I throw up Aero and Aero 2, and Swfitcast Holy on big groups and that's about it. If no damage is coming from the target, then I'll go ahead and Regen tank and DPS till a certain HP amount.

Healers SHOULD dps as long as they can handle the healing while doing so.

The problem here is, and it happens pretty much every single time, some guy just says "kick this person please" and everyone votes yes without even thinking twice or knowing why.

You probably found the typical kid who wants some attention and got poor sense of humour and doesn't want to dps and let eos heal.

I main Sch and at this stage I only dps and let eos heal I do not heal unless lustrate is needed for mt.

You will always find one out there... I usually just report them due to the fact it end up in abuse.

i agree to this on a specific level:

I myself WHM and i myself DPS, rotating in and out of cleric stance, however the DPS is very situational, if a tank wants to do a big pull, second i see Hallowed Ground ill go pop 1-2 holy and then return to normal again, however if hes pulling flower patches, then i'll dps more than even heal him, 50% of his hp pool is safe enough depending on the amount of mobs.

TL;DR I dps, bards a tool, keep on trucking.

That Bard was basically saying 'hey, I see that you can keep up with both heals and DPS but I want us to stay in this dungeon for much longer than we need to.'
Maybe they were lonely... and well, with the attitude they have, I can see why.

For serious though, as long as you don't lose sight of your first priority as a healer - which is, well, healing - then it should go without saying that you're allowed (and very much encouraged) to do whatever else you can to make your party more efficient. Whether it be dps'ing or humping the giant dragon or whatever into submission, if it allows you to clear faster and you're able to keep your party alive, I don't see why you shouldn't do it.
