    Oh yeah, a price cut.

Not a jerk. Just someone that didnt think it through enough.
Because what is it that makes your item stand out more then another, a price cut?
    No.

    What is it then?

Oh yeah, simply having the top entry even if it is 1 gil cheaper.

Someone who gathers their own mats, I do as much as possible, and than crafts will always have the advantage other someone who bought the mats on the mb. Your logic doesn't make any sense.
However you could have sold those ''free'' mats on the mb and made gil off them. In addition, gathering shards and crystal is rarely done. Many crafters seem to forget the costs related to those. And there is no recipe that doesnt use a type of crystal.

It is arguing semantics because the complaints are on undercutting in a market with a high turn over.
What is the point in undercutting a hefty amount if your item is going to be sold in an hour tops anyway?
Not going to make it sell faster. It's only going to lose everyone (but the immediate buyer) gil.
