Buffing Warriors damage in Xpac?

Ok so DRK might be a tank that sacrifices even more base mitigation for a greater self heal, like a polarised version of WAR compared to PLD.

One can already see cons of this style of tanking because it relies on constant uptime to have the same level of 'mitigation' as other tanks get.

PLD's mitigation is almost entirely cooldown-based.
WAR needs to land Inner Beast when it matters.
What's wrong with a tank that relies even more on landing attacks to have the same level of mitigation?

It was just a rumor going on with the dark knight able to use dark magic and going based off what they were back in XI.

OMG...I am maining a Whitemage on every odd month in the year and what about me? If you have a tank that can basically heal himself won't healers be obsolete? I don't like this development and even though I don't know anything about anything regarding this new tank, I object!!

Seriously, this is like DPS complaining that other DPS do damage on a mob. >.>

So we already have the super defensive tank - PLD

And we already have the super offensive tank - WAR

How then will DRK fit into this equation?

Maybe DRK will just be an average tank...kinda meh but not too blah. But who knows? Maybe the developers do because you know they are developing the class. Or maybe DRK will have some novel attributes that we might get to know once he is released....
