Question about Animus - Novus upgrade

Lights stay the same. The modification process if you wish to redo your stats is a separate thing entirely; all it does is make a copy of what you used in the previous infusion.

see i wish they would actually say that, but the way it sounds when you talk to him, its like he un does what you did entirely.

So if what i am reading is correct, Say if i change it when i convert it to nexus, he takes the power and makes the scroll, thus making my ilvl 115 nexus and ilvl 110 nexus until i infuse the scroll again, correct?

is there a novus -> nexus boost on those added stats?

If you still have your novus, all he will do is copy the stats on your novus into the scroll. After you're done with modifing what stats you want, he'll be able to apply them to your novus, your lights won't change.

Yes. There's a stat increase from i110 - i115 - i125.

you see i keep hearing different stories from different people. some people say i wont lose the 1700 lights by copying the powers on to the scroll now, some say i will, everyone tells me to wait until i convert to nexus

I changed mine in the middle of farming lights. I can confirm that you'll retain your lights.

I also changed stats in my light farming. You don't lose progress. Believe me, if that was the case, you'd see a LOT of raging here.

i think what i will do is remove the 11 det and put it into my spell speed, that way, i get close to the original 40 (i'll be at 33 but 7 less is marginal) but i will get back the original 20 det on the animus rod.

You wiil not get the original 20 Det back unless you put them there yourself. Think of it this way... The scroll sphere deletes ALL secondary stat, the Det/SSPD that were there originally are gone. From that point on in the relic upgrade process the stats are whatever you set them to. If you want the exact same stats you had, you will need to infuse those exact stats.

I don't think it's possible to get the Animus stats onto your Novus due to Animus using more than 75 points I think.
