Yeah, get the inks, get an empty Sphere Scroll, and bring it to Jalzahn. I believe it should also work for the new relics, though I've already got mine where it's going to stay (until stat weights get completely changed).Thank you very much ;] I assume this step can be done for zodiac ones? I had my sch tome going full crit/ det, then started to fail so many IVs that I added cheap ones I'd like to remove, but it's now Last Resort. And how do you copy the stats? You bring the guy 3 enchanted inks and buy a normal sphere scroll?
Lucky for you, the best stat for BLM is SSPD. So you don't need to spend a large sum for crit+ det combo.
I just checked with Jalzahn, and you can indeed change the stats of the Zodiac weapon (the option shows up for Zodiac once you attain one). The steps required are the same (3 new inks for sphere scroll etc).Thank you very much ;] I assume this step can be done for zodiac ones? I'm a Ninja.
The only thing I'm not clear about is, do the odds stay abysmally low when you're re-melding? I *assume* that you can't use cheap materia and a second scroll to get around the low odds of infusing Crit/Det, but if you can that would be awesome. . .Nope, it removes one stat at a time. So if you wanted to go from, say, 25 Accuracy 19 Spell Speed 31 Determination (I'm a BLM don't hate me :c) to 19 Accuracy 25 Spell Speed 31 Determination, you'd just talk to the NPC 6 times, get 1 point of Accuracy removed each time, get 6 Alexandrites and 6 Quicktongue materia of the appropriate grade, infuse those into the scroll, and done!
Unfortunately, success rates don't change. At least they're not overmeld-success-rate low...the stress of pentamelding crafted i110 gear with 5 IV materia still makes me want to tear my hair out :|
Well, I can dream. . .
I would say I'm having flashbacks to 1.0's melding system, but I didn't craft enough in 1.0 to deal with that. . .
Ive got Det 32 SS46 unfornatally it costed me 40 million to do it
thanks all
i think what i will do is remove the 11 det and put it into my spell speed, that way, i get close to the original 40 (i'll be at 33 but 7 less is marginal) but i will get back the original 20 det on the animus rod.
You wiil not get the original 20 Det back unless you put them there yourself. Think of it this way... The scroll sphere deletes ALL secondary stat, the Det/SSPD that were there originally are gone. From that point on in the relic upgrade process the stats are whatever you set them to. If you want the exact same stats you had, you will need to infuse those exact stats.
