they are removing physical levels, and by doing that, the point allotment from said levels.I don't know why they deside this...
Why can't we "destroy" our character how we want?
Isn't this kind of game where people can customize characters?
I'm so happy distributing my points in all and any stats that I want, and remove that, will make us all the same character just with diferent clothes. This decision is not good.
I know that they will not do any that change on it, but I need to write this, to let us and them know that this kind of desicions is a bad planing to personalize our characters.
Is decided that the races are good for nothing, and now, everybody will be good for nothing and everybody will be the same character as others.
PERSONALIZE CHARACTERS IS GOING TO HELL...
Now when you level, points will be distributed automatically, and in 1.20 they will add the gain of bonus points to go with the automatically added points.
Point Allotment will still be in the game (post 1.20) So you can customize your character like you do now.I don't know why they deside this...

The only difference would be that you dont have to wait for houers to switch from melee to mage setup and that stat balance is same at rank 1 and rank 50.
i'm not mad at them abolisihing it lol but im so sad they change the terminology of it.. can't the stay as Skill Point/Rank? :<
What you don't know is, aside from HP and MP gained from VIT and MND, attribute modifiers are completely worthless.
They are changing the algorithms and having them automatically distribute. This means you will be able to switch between magic and war classes and not have to worry about allotment. You'll even see improvements in the way your Hand and Land classes function through this change since proper allotments affect craft quality as well. This is personally... my most anticipated character development change in 1.19.
I love THM and I love ARC. I highly dislike the 3 hour interval wait between reallotment to get my base attributes down before they start to soft cap or give diminishing results (as they do a lot earlier than you think they do). With this new change, not only will stats actually matter, you will be able to be proficient for the most part (hoping gear will come more into play to separate men from the boys) as any class you have ranked. No worry of not being as great because you have no points in STR and DEX being that your main is a CON. Refreshing and greatly welcomed addition to the game.
All in all, its a better system and less of a hassle to switch from melee to mage to crafter to gatherer. Simple as that.
I think that things won't be too bad as long as they give us enough leeway to where the points we get to allocate actually DO mean something. I.E. If I want to tank in a light party as a PUG, I'd like to know that allocating more points to VIT will have some kind of effect, or if I want to enfeeble, PIE will do what I want it to do(aside from being delicious and better than cake).
I like the idea that removing physical level will allow stats to actually matter, but I also feel that point allocation is one of the things that differentiate FFXIV from FFXI, and I think it would hurt the game if they eliminated that aspect.
fromthe last time they talked about it, they said something along the lines of, "you will be given less points, but each point will have a greater impact"I think that things won't be too bad as long as they give us enough leeway to where the points we get to allocate actually DO mean something. you know, people who complain about having to re-allocate points for stats for different classes could alleviate that problem by you know, not being an idiot and allocating your points in a balanced way in the first place.
How are they going to deal with the fact that most people already have a TON of allocated points other than having things allocate automatically during the time difference from .19 to .20?
I mean im pretty sure what sets people apart from one another with current Physical level is how smartly one decides to allocate and balance their stats. That's a player issue, not a game issue. It's not the game's fault if one player is better than another player with the same Rank/Level because they spread out their stats better.
Well honestly, stats really don't matter too much, all they really help with the most are HQing items. Also, re-assignment of attribute points is there for a reason. People want to excel at one-three things rather than be balanced at everything and be under-average at anything they do. That's the whole point.you know, people who complain about having to re-allocate points for stats for different classes could alleviate that problem by you know, not being an idiot and allocating your points in a balanced way in the first place.
